How to reserve

You can complete the reservation form below. After receipt, if the Suite and/or room you have requested and any additional services are available, you will receive a confirmation and an itemized invoice.

Each room/suite states the minimum number of days of stay required to make a reservation. This allows us to keep prices very interesting.

The room rates mentioned do not include the mandatory tourist and environmental tax (€ 2.50 per person, per night). This will be calculated by us upon departure from the room. If you have any questions, we can of course always be reached by email, in writing or by telephone (see contact page). The booking and general terms and conditions are stated below the reservation form.

Booking Policy

After you have reserved a stay date and your preferred room, you will receive information about availability, a confirmation and an itemized invoice.

Your reserved stay (subject to confirmation of availability) is final upon receipt of your payment.

For bookings made within 15 days before arrival, the invoice must be paid immediately by bank transfer. For bookings made more than 15 days before arrival at B&B Casa Alegria, 50% of the reservation amount must be paid by bank transfer after receipt of the invoice and the remaining amount upon arrival. You will of course always receive confirmation of your prepayment.

No additional reservation costs will be charged for directly booking a stay at B&B Casa Alegria via this site.

Cape Verde applies a tourist and environmental tax for staying at a hotel/guest house/B&B. This amounts to € 2.50 per person, per night. This amount is stated separately on the quotation/confirmation.

Before your departure, you will receive an extensive document by email with information and "tips & tricks" about your stay, the island, sights, restaurants, etc.

Cancellation policy

If you are unexpectedly unable to comply with the rental agreement entered into, you must report this to us as soon as possible (in writing by email). After confirmation by B&B Casa Alegria, the cancellation is final.

Cancellation within 10 days before arrival: no refund
Cancellation within 30 days before arrival: 50% refund
Cancellation within 50 days before arrival: 100% refund minus reservation/administration costs € 25,=

Liability

B&B Casa Alegria is not liable for:

Later arrival due to delay during your trip (flight, etc.); no refund of daily costs.
Power failure and force majeure due to weather conditions during your stay.
The guest receives 4 keys upon arrival (gate/house/room/safe). If keys are lost, €25 per key will be charged (to be paid locally or withheld from the deposit). As a guest, you are responsible for keeping the keys and properly locking the safe, room and house.

Arrival and departure

On the day of arrival you can use your accommodation from 1 p.m
On the day of departure, your accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 am.

GTC -General Terms and Conditions

The General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all users of B&B Casa Alegria, Rua Liceu in Tarrafal in Cape Verde and were drawn up on January 1, 2020.

The General Terms and Conditions come into effect upon entering into a rental agreement for a stay at B&B Casa Alegria.
Tenants must have a permanent place of residence.
B&B Casa Alegria is not liable for damage, loss or theft of users' property.
In the event of disputes, all (legal) costs are borne by the users.
All risks related to the stay at B&B Casa Alegria are borne by the users.
Damage and loss of movable and immovable property of B&B Casa Alegria must be immediately reported by the users and reimbursed to the owner.
Guests must follow the instructions of the owner and/or staff of B&B Casa Alegria.
B&B Casa Alegria (owner and/or responsible employees) can deny and/or refuse guests access to B&B Casa Alegria with immediate effect in the event of violation of the GTC and inappropriate behavior, without further notice and stating reasons and without refund. of accommodation costs.
In the event of early departure, no refund will be made for any remaining booked accommodation.
Guests of B&B Casa Alegria must adhere to the internal regulations (see paragraph 3).
When entering into a rental agreement, the guest agrees to the security measures taken by B&B Casa Alegria (camera surveillance and night security).

House and accommodation rules

B&B Casa Alegria wants to guarantee the most pleasant stay possible for all guests present.

House rules have been drawn up to ensure that guests are not inconvenienced by each other's behavior. We kindly ask you to observe these house rules. If other guests regularly violate these house rules, we ask you to report this to our employees or the owner of B&B Casa Alegria.

The breakfast buffet is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Guests may use the kitchen, but must leave it clean after use.
Noise pollution, especially between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., must be prevented.
Visits or stays by unregistered guests (or third parties) are not permitted.
Visitors of guests are not allowed to stay overnight or have breakfast without permission or without additional payment.
The presence of suspicious persons must be immediately reported to employees (security).
Smoking is not allowed in the rooms; outside on the roof terrace and patios. Ask the employees for an ashtray; it is not appreciated that cigarettes are thrown outside the fence.
Treat your stay with care, so that guests who come after you also have a well-maintained room and a pleasant holiday.
